There are many other ways to get involved with Bedford to support us and involve your local community.

Why not make your next cupcake stall, garage sale, movie night, or marathon count and fundraise for a cause close to your heart? You can share your fundraising efforts for Bedford or just make a donation to us once your fundraising event is done.

Workplace Giving is a simple way to make regular donations to Bedford.

If your employer offers Workplace Giving, you simply choose Bedford – we have the required ongoing Deductible Gift (DGR) status – and choose the amount you want deducted. Then your employer pays the donation directly to Bedford each payday. At the end of the financial year, your employer will include the total amount donated in your payment summary, letter or email for your tax return. It’s a win-win situation – you reduce your taxable income, while building a sense of pride in your workplace, and Bedford receives the support we need to keep changing the lives of people with disability.

You can also ask your employer if they match Workplace Giving contributions. Your workplace may also want to enhance the impact of the program by incorporating volunteering, skill-sharing and in-kind support. Talk to us today if you would like help setting this up with your employer.

For two decades Bedford's signature fundraising event was The Big BBQ / Banquet, with many thousands of dollars donated to support people living with disability. In 2023 our fundraising efforts went upmarket with the Bedford Gala held in May, in addition to hosting the Big Banquet in November.
