New Life Members

Bedford Life Memberships are awarded to people who have displayed outstanding service to Bedford, or to the disability sector (often both) and who, through their efforts, have contributed significantly to supporting people with disability. They may have achieved this through long-term volunteering, tireless campaigning, or through exemplary work at Bedford, in government or the disability sector.

We are thrilled to welcome six new Life Members to our ranks in 2023, each of whom have displayed commitment and energy to supporting Bedford and the disability sector over many years of outstanding service.

Wayne McKeon – 55 years of service
Volunteer in the disability sector and Heritage Directorships:

As a transport owner, first came into contact with Heritage (which later joined Bedford in 2010) delivering loads of timber – provided his transport services at no cost up to 1998

Continues to volunteer services by undertaking maintenance, mowing and fixing bikes
