About the Role
This full-time, permanent role is located at our Panorama site and reports to the Manager, Data and Applications. It is part of a new team which is being developed as part of our capability strategy. The role involves developing software solutions using .NET, C#, and SQL Server, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, writing clean, efficient and maintainable code, and testing to ensure software quality. This role is required to stay updated with new Microsoft technologies, and work with other teams to ensure that software solutions meet business standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- designing, developing and maintaining software applications and systems using Microsoft technologies
- writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to define software requirements, design solutions, and implement features
- conducting testing to ensure software quality and performance
- troubleshooting and debugging software issues and develop solutions
- working collaboratively with other teams to meet business requirements and standards
About You
As a skilled and experienced Software Engineer you will have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a creative mindset to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You are self-motivated, positive, dynamic, collaborative, and business-oriented, with the ability to explain ICT concepts to users in non-technical terms. You will also possess the ability to prioritise duties and workload, work effectively in a team environment, and have strong communication skills to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Other skills and experience include:
- experience with Microsoft technologies such as .NET, C#, and SQL Server, as well as software development principles
- familiarity with Agile methodologies and strong knowledge of software testing
- attention-to-detail in configuring and ensuring correct function of Microsoft applications
- strong understanding of data management principles and ability to work with complex data sets
- able to remediate outdated custom codes and extensions while minimising disruption to operations
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, and necessary clearances
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing technology needs and government mandates
For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford Phoenix Incorporated:
- a National Police Clearance (gained no more than six months ago)
- an NDIS worker screening clearance (or other suitable clearance to work in the disability sector)
- evidence of right to work in Australia
- a current and full Driver’s Licence
