About the Role

This Applications Specialist role is part of a newly-created, multi-disciplined team of Microsoft professionals reporting to the Manager, Data and Applications at our Panorama site. It is a full-time, permanent role with the ability to negotiate flexible and hybrid working arrangements to support work life balance. The role requires experience in SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, and Business Central to provide technical support, training, and maintenance for these applications, and will be responsible for customising the applications to meet business requirements, developing workflows, forms, and reports, and ensuring compliance with security and data privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • providing technical support and training for Microsoft applications: SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, and Business Central
  • customising these applications to meet specific business requirements
  • collaborating with IT professionals to integrate Microsoft products with other software / systems
  • developing and maintaining workflows, forms, and reports using SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics
  • ensuring compliance with security and data privacy regulations
  • staying up-to-date with new features and provide recommendations for their adoption


About You

As a skilled Applications Specialist with proven hands-on experience in system implementation and support, you will possess a high-level of proficiency in Microsoft applications, as well as a solid background in software development and data management principles. Your ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner will be complemented by your stakeholder engagement. In addition, you will be able to collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, consistently upholding Bedford’s values.

Other skills and experience include:

  • strong problem-solving skills to identify solutions
  • able to prioritise workload based on business needs
  • flexibility and resilience to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • software development experience with .NET and SQL
  • strong analytical skills to solve complex problems
  • understanding of data management principles and complex data sets

For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford Phoenix Incorporated:

  • a National Police Clearance (gained no more than six months ago)
  • an NDIS worker screening clearance (or other suitable clearance to work in the disability sector)
  • evidence of right to work in Australia
  • a full and current Driver’s Licence
