Holiday Closure
Bedford closes over the festive season - employees and staff are away from 22 Dec, with most departments returning 6 Jan, Day Options back on 7 Jan, and Packaging, Cleaning, and Hospitality returning on 13 Jan 2024. Balyana and Experiences continue as normal.

Their amazing achievements will be recognized at our International Day of People with Disability celebrations on Friday.

50 Years - Robyn Thorn (Panorama)

Robyn (pictured, top) started working at Panorama when she was 15 and has been involved in lots of different jobs, such as mail outs, packing chocolates in the clean room and lots of labeling jobs (too many to list!). For Robyn, the best part of working at Bedford is being able to spend time with her friends. When Robyn isn't at work she enjoys going out for a coffee with her friends, knitting and spending time with her family and family dog.

45 Years - Darrell Mitchell (Panorama)

Darrell's favourite thing about working at Bedford is the variety of work and doing many different jobs. When Darrell's not at work, he likes to watch the footy with a beer (but only when Port Power is playing) and going to family get-togethers.

45 Years - Peter "Iggy" Ignacionek (Pooraka)

In the 45 years Peter has been at Bedford, he has worked in the paint shop, distribution (pick and pack) and the machine shop. His favourite job has been the distribution of Bunnings orders – Peter has been working on the Bunnings orders since the very beginning of the contract! The thing Peter enjoys most about Bedford is working with his friends and his bosses. He also likes having something to do every day that gets him out of the house. When he's not at Bedford, Iggy likes to go to the movies and watch cricket and footy (when Port Adelaide is playing). He likes to go to concerts - his favourite was Ed Sheeran. Iggy started with Bedford in July, 1972 and he's seen a lot of change since! His aim is to celebrate 50 years of service before he retires.

40 Years - Barrie and Robert Jones (Mount Gambier)

Barrie and Robert Jones are twins with a huge family connection to Bedford Mount Gambier. Their younger brother, Peter, joined Bedford a year after them and their mother was part of the Heritage Industries Women's Auxiliary back in 1966. Their father assisted on many holiday trips for the employees and lots of other support roles as well. Robbie is the site's pack strapper and pallet maker. He enjoys working by himself, or in a team of two. Barrie is a stacker and he enjoys the challenge of keeping up with the machine! Between the three Jones brothers, there is a whopping 119 years of service!

A big congratulations to Robyn, Darrell, Peter, Barrie and Robert, and everyone else receiving 5-50 Years of Service awards this year!
