Bedford’s BSafe campaign is aimed at raising awareness of health and safety matters that can contribute to a positive and preventive safety culture. The BSafe vision was designed to encourage workers to think about their commitment to safety at work, including the choices they make each day to carry out their work safely.
The campaign was implemented across all sites in 2016, with people being awarded and recognised for their outstanding contribution to safety in the workplace.
Each month we focus on a different safety topic to discuss in the workplace.
In February, we are looking at pedestrian safety and ways we can 'BSafe' when crossing roads, travelling to and from work and working near vehicles.
Remember:
Ask - Is it safe to cross? Look both ways and listen for traffic.
Ask - Can traffic see me? Try and make eye contact with the driver.
Ask - Where is it safe to cross? Remember to use designated pedestrian crossings and follow all traffic signs.
