Holiday Closure
Bedford closes over the festive season - employees and staff are away from 22 Dec, with most departments returning 6 Jan, Day Options back on 7 Jan, and Packaging, Cleaning, and Hospitality returning on 13 Jan 2024. Balyana and Experiences continue as normal.

While some South Australians chose to watch the Coronation on Saturday night, Bedford guests were singing along to Dancing Queen at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The event was hosted and DJ’d by the hilarious ‘Berlin boy wonder’, Hans, and also featured live music from South Australian indie pop band, Bermuda Bay - the vibrancy and energy signalling a new era for Bedford and their fundraising endeavours.

Guests entered the venue through a light tunnel, were seated beneath a circle of neon lights and were even treated to a unique and immersive light photography experience. The theme of the evening centred around the light spectrum and how individual beams make up all the colours of the rainbow, representing the diversity within the Bedford community. Several Bedford employees and clients told their powerful stories awash in rainbow colours.

Proceeds raised from the gala will go towards more jobs and opportunities for people with disability in SA.

Bedford CEO Myron Mann said it was wonderful to see so many people all dressed up in a beautiful venue for a truly important cause.

“The generosity of those who attended will help Bedford offer opportunities and choice for people with disability to reach their goals and gain increased independence,” Mr Mann said.

Plans are already underway to make the gala evening an annual fundraiser.
