Bedford's landscaping and construction business, APG (Adelaide Property and Gardens), have been busy as ever, with renewed contracts and new projects in the pipeline.
Junction Partnership Continues
After a competitive tender process, Adelaide Property and Gardens (APG) recently re-entered into a commercial agreement with Junction & Women’s Housing Ltd, to provide landscape and grounds maintenance to garden common areas at 129 sites across South Australia, from the Mid-North, Barossa, through Adelaide metro, and down the Fleurieu Peninsula.
APG Operations Manager Albie Grove said “We are pleased to be continuing this strategic partnership with Junction. This contract will help to secure twelve jobs for up to three years.” The work involves maintaining verges and planted areas, lawn mowing and tree pruning.
Mount Barker
Construction of new APG Depot at Mount Barker has been underway since 2022, and here at Bedford we’ve been watching a time-lapse camera showing us the progress of the works which are expected to complete in May 2023.
This Adelaide Hills site will provide APG with a local base to service our enduring partnerships in the Adelaide Hills and peri-urban areas. It hasn’t stopped the work in Mt Barker continuing, with APG recently completing a wetland project and a series of pocket reserves along Bluestone’s Heysen Boulevard, for Peet’s Bluestone Development, which officially opened to the community in February.
Other projects underway include:
- the construction of a reserve and streetscape at the River Haven Development in Goolwa for AV Jennings
- nearing completion on the Miravale Philip Street Reserve in Angle Vale
- refurbishment and beautification of the ageing Weaver Street Reserve in Edwardstown on behalf of the City of Marion, including a new playground and other landscaping
- Seaford Vista’s stunning main reserve, which is nearing completion
